National Member Food Drive

Date: June 1, 2017 - November 30, 2017

The 9th year for this national member service campaign, the need for our national member food drive is as important as ever.  For 1 in 6 people here in the United States, hunger is a reality.  Whether you donate money to a local food bank or pantry, put together a scavenger hunt food drive, or do one of our other ideas for a food drive, please let us know about it!  Take part and help us feed the hungry!
 

 

Facts on Aging

Per Sherrie Mcgregor, Ph.D. (PsychCentral), exercise programs do generally produce improvements, often dramatic ones, even among very elderly participants. For example, one researcher reported that 80-year olds and 90-year olds who had completed a 10-week strength-training program showed more than a 100 percent increase in their strength, and significant increases in their walking speed and stair climbing ability.
