National Food Drive

2018 marks the 10th year for Assured Life's national member food drive. The need for our national member food drive continues to be as important as ever.  1 in 8 people here in the United States struggles with hunger and getting enough to eat, with 12.9 million children living with hunger.  Whether you donate money to a local food bank or pantry, organize a food drive, put together a scavenger food drive, participate in the new Scramble to End Hunger Golf Tournament or participate in our Food Build event, please let us know about it! Take part and help us feed the hungry!

Facts on Aging

Per Sherrie Mcgregor, Ph.D. (PsychCentral), exercise programs do generally produce improvements, often dramatic ones, even among very elderly participants. For example, one researcher reported that 80-year olds and 90-year olds who had completed a 10-week strength-training program showed more than a 100 percent increase in their strength, and significant increases in their walking speed and stair climbing ability.
