District Reporting

September 27, 2008 changes to the Society's Bylaws retained Districts in its organizational structure. Specifically, the bylaws provide that Chapters of the Society may organize together geographically for social, ethnic or business purposes. Districts, like chapters shall be characterized as subordinate bodies of the Society. As a result of this change, Districts will now be required to file a report with the home office following their District meeting.

Facts on Aging

Per the National Institute on Aging, as people age, they may become more sensitive to alcohol's effects. The same amount of alcohol can have a greater effect on an older person than on someone who is younger. Over time, someone whose drinking habits haven't changed may find she or he has a problem.
